Italian disability charities supported by Xerox Italy recognized by His Holiness Pope Francis during Vatican visit
A Memorable Recognition for Team Xerox Italy

Xerox colleagues in Italy have a longstanding passion for giving back to the local community. Year after year, the Xerox Italy team has found creative ways of using their time to volunteer and raise money for causes close to their hearts. Together, they’ve made a big impact and have helped so many in need.
Recently, in an effort led by the Enable_All and Italian Able Alliance (IAA) employee resource groups (ERGs), Xerox Italy employees raised gift-matched funds to support local charity partners SOD Italia and Insieme per Anna Claudia, which funds services, resources, equipment and support programs for children living with disabilities and their families. The money raised helps ensure these valuable programs can continue to help those in need.
In preparation for Easter, a significant holiday in the Christian calendar, Xerox employees joined the charity partners and the families they helped for a very special occasion, an audience with His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican.
Jacques-Edouard Gueden, president of Xerox EMEA Operations and Daniele Puccio, managing director of Xerox operations in Italy, along with employees and members of the, IAA, The Women’s Alliance (TWA) and Enable_All ERGs, as well as the Wellbeing team, were honored to meet with the head of the Roman Catholic church.
“Our Xerox values drive our commitment to doing good for society, and it was a great honor and humbling experience to be recognized, together with our Italian charity partners, by His Holiness Pope Francis,” said Gueden.
Pope Francis gave a blessing and shared words of encouragement that reinforced that selfless work to help others is essential to humanity. There are many individual expressions of faith in the world, and whether religious or non-religious, the same principles unite us: respect for inclusion, belonging, giving back to communities and working together to make the world a better place.
